This movie is not just a simple Drama film, it is truly unique film. It would be hard to find a movie made this good. It tells important lesson about how you should live your life to it's fullness. You do not need to like Drama films to enjoy time spent on watching this film. The movie with best storyline ever, best directing and really good chosen cast. I liked the characters, all of them, even the antagonists were unforgettable, especially Minami Hamabe. Not many "excellent" movies that have ever been released. This is a very memorable movie in every way. One Day, You Will Reach the Sea is a living masterpiece. This movie is an art, at it's very best form.

Mana Kotani was friends with Sumire Utsuki for years. She admired Sumire's freewheeling ways and mysterious charm, but Sumire broke off connections with her. Later, Mana hears of Sumire's death, which she cannot get over.
