This film is a masterpiece. Every thing of Red Dog is outstanding. A performance that has no weak moments. The film gave me goosebumps. You do not need to like Comedy films to enjoy time spent on watching this film. I am a huge fan of Kriv Stenders and this movie was his finest work last time. I liked the characters, all of them, even the antagonists were unforgettable, especially Josh Lucas. Not many "excellent" movies that have ever been released. Is Red Dog the best film of all time? I would put it in my top 5 for sure. Red Dog is a living masterpiece. This movie is an art, at it's very best form.

The film is based on the legendary true story of the Red Dog, a nomadic red kelpie that won the hearts of hundreds of West Australian outback residents while roaming the Australian outback in search of his long lost master.
