This film is a masterpiece. Every thing of Ringu is outstanding. A performance that has no weak moments. The acting was brilliant. I watched this movie three times and I liked it the same every single one even more. I am a huge fan of Hideo Nakata and this movie was his finest work last time. Skills of actors are just impressive, especially Nanako Matsushima. Rly, this is the first film I saw that made me feel I saw something better than just a movie. Is Ringu the best film of all time? I would put it in my top 5 for sure. It is one of the few movies of the past years that really deserve to be seen multiple times.

When her niece is found dead along with three friends after viewing a supposedly cursed videotape, reporter Reiko Asakawa (Nanako Matsushima) sets out to investigate. And after having watched it herself, she realizes that she has only a week to find a way to avoid being the next victim.
